17 Days To Christmas
I cannot even remember the last time I had plans for every 3 nights of the weekend.
Friday
I watched Bolt with Claire and Terence. It was surprisingly good. I don't know why, it didn't look that appealing to me when I saw the trailer, but it turned out to be good. The dog, the cat and the hamster all had distinct and strong personalities. Even the funny pigeons are rememberable albeit their short appearances. Now I want to watch it again, and I can stay for the credits. I always like to stay for credits..lol
Went walked over to have Botak Jones for dinner. Ate under the umbrella in the drizzle. Romantic rrrrright..hahaha, chatted about hot dates and Ter getting talkative after a bit of drink lol
We head back to Ter's and we drove to Changi Airport and sat at the Viewing Mall till past 3am, looking at small vehicles which looked like Mo in Wall-E and talking about travelling to other parts of the World in 5 years' time. Only reached home and slept around 5am.
Saturday
It's Ben & Jerry's Chunk Festival at Fort Canning! Met up with CH and we reached there around 3pm plus. It rained so the place was humid, slippery and a LONG queue for the ice-cream. It's the first ever ice-cream festival, and it's supposed to have new flavours flown in from the USA just for that day. We were so bumped by the long queue (there was only 1 booth for ice-cream) and humidity we went off less than 15 minutes upon arriving without getting anything and walked over to our favourite old school.
I had my first look at the interior of the school after it's fully renovated into Hotel Re!. It was decent. Funny how our stage area turned into a restaurant now and the area next to level 2 toilets are now a wine bar. What really got me was the staircase. Check this out: The up and down arrows which were painted back in my school days are still around! lol, I also love the fact that 2 out of the 3 hopscotch we had are still around. Amazing!
Head back to Central's Burger King (which inevitably reminded me of Madtv's King Burger) and talked about his Medan trip while waiting for Claire, Jas and Ter. The place sounds so great I hope that I can go there next February or something!
Then went with the trio back to Fort Canning where we queued for the ice-cream and met up with Ed. It was much more bearable to queue at night with Goodfellas playing though the place was still so muddy. Tried the new Peanut Butter Cookie Dough I think, and it really tasted like peanut butter lol. And we queued again at Aston's for dinner, I was starving by then but when my pasta came I could only finish half of it. :/
Jacq joined while Claire left for secret hot date and we went to Selegie for tow huay (Ed's treat!) and then Jacq's place for Mahjong. I was so tired that I watched an episode of Scrubs while they were playing. Apparently the old Grandfather is the big winner of the night and we head off around 3am.
Sunday
Met up with Winnie, CH and YQ and took another look at Hotel Re! restaurant. In the end we had dinner at Harbourfront Center's Pasta Mania. My Turkey Bacon Aglio was so tastless I thought my own version was even better. :s
We walked around Vivo City. We saw this kid in pampers waddling around that shallow pool they have on the top we pity some other kids who might be opening their mouth and have some of its essence. Crazy parents. I think we left the place after 10pm.
I was so, so exhausted mentally when I got home. And there, is my longest ever weekend in a very long time..lol
