Was already sitting down and saw this family with 2 toddler girls. One was walking in front of the Mom. Behind them was the Dad holding the younger one's hand.

The younger girl has this..blank face. But the next second, she was waving to everyone she passes -- with the blank face!

So she waved to the auntie sitting in front of me, who waved back.

Then she walked past me and waved at me too..

Of course I waved back ;)

Who am I kidding?

I know I've always like to say, "There's always an exception."

But I guess this time there isn't.

Or maybe you're not the exception.

Technically and realistically speaking, you don't have to be. At all.

The hints aren't exactly subtle..it's been dropped (intentionally or unintentionally) here and there..more than a couple of times now.

You know I tried to think back and recall what they are.

Surprisingly, I remembered them.

Being silent and/or the lack of response doesn't mean it didn't reach me..I just you know, chose to let it slip by.

A few days ago, I saw someone's status on FB asking the question, 'Is it worth to live?'.

To my suprise, one of the friends replied 'no' to that.

Now I won't pretend to be an expert on how to live Life.

But I was taken aback someone who has so readily accept that Life is not worth living.

And I pondered about it.

And I have come to these few conclusions.

I won't use the old comparison of people are starving every single second in third world country but they can still be happy.

I accept and acknowledge that living in developed countries have its own share of issues to worry about.

So why can one so readily accept that Life is not worth living?

Goals.

Destination.

And a hint of mental strength.

If you have no Goals, you have no Destination.

You have have not Destination, what is there to live for?

And to achieve that, you need that bit of mental strength to pull you through the darker times.

Take that both literally and figuratively.

"It is always the darkest before dawn."

Today, I finally caught Sherlock Holmes. But not before I saw Old Dogs. Or Dog. Whatever because I don't really care, I almost fell asleep..! Been hearing it's funny, but guess it's not my kind of humour. Hope my Mom enjoyed if though.

And yes Sherlock Holmes. What a visual treat..on different levels. Firstly I have been looking forward to this film because (1) I love reading Sherlock Holmes as a kid (2) There's Robert Downey Jr. (3) There's Mark Strong.

So that's visual treat on a level.

Another level is the cinematography.

Maybe the only thing about this film is there's no clear climax..and this version of Watson is certainly too 'hands on' for me..but it's good enough for me <=)

Oh, and Hans Zimmer scored it. Gonna check out the soundtrack!

So gonna get the DVD as soon as it's out.

On his journey locating back his beloved giraffe, he has to put up with an annoying one-legged crow, fight a big-sized version of his giraffe...

I was either too busy or tired to reeeead.

Today (Thursday) has been an unbelievably hectic day!

But I was (and still am) really excited about the video we're working on..because we loove the couple and their great love story, and also we're using (500) Days of Summer as a reference!

As some of you might know, I'm a big big fan of the film, so it's exciting stuff for me.

Right now I'm on my bed blogging from my iTouch listening to the soundtrack while waiting for my hair to dry..then sleep and there's work tomorrow!

Perhaps the weather outside is getting dark now as I type, perhaps it's purely the haunting sound of the choir in the clip. This is my favourite deleted scene of the lot..and I actually think they should have find a way to slot it somewhere in the movie.
I think it's very cinematic, and also metaphoric at a level (minus the fact Professor Flitwick is back at this part time job as Hogwarts conductor).
The colour treatment.. The gentle moving frames... That fantastic shot of Snape!! The lighting..his facial expression! Draco's 2 shots...
It is only up till the part with Ron and Hermione that I find this potentially slightly cheesy..but only for 2 seconds.
This has got to be like, the calm before the storm thing..
This has got to be my favourite, favourite deleted scene. Usually those deleted scenes are worth to be deleted, but this one is different, it's not awkward, not cheesy. It's just excellent.

Thanks to my sister who's been watching this over and over again and reading up on the new Left4Dead 2, I've been informed that this is definitely a carefully crafted piece of intro.

The first scene where the 4 of them are exploring in the house is related to their working fields. The lady is a reporter (of some sorts)..guy who opens the cash register is a gambler/con-man, young guy is a student technician and the fat guy used to be a football coach (of some sorts).

Cool, right?

What's cooler I think it's their facial expressions! Can see it's better than the first one.

Tons of new zombies and new weapons.

I went for a run again at stadium tonight.

I kinda like the feeling..the one being covered in sweat and that hot feel you get after a workout.

I laid down after the run. You know, the place between the end of the field and start of the running track.

I closed my eyes and listened to the world.

Everything is peaceful and chilled.

I stayed like that for a while.

I thought I heard a toddler's laughter.

I opened my eyes and I saw the moon.

Some star was not too far away from it.

I took off my glasses and look at the sky in blur.

You know, it felt like nobody can see me clearly as well.

It's like the I'm-Standing-In-Front-Of-You-Covering-My-Eyes-But-You-Can-Actually-Still-See-Silly-Me theory.

But it's okay, it feels great enough. ;)

Suddenly out of the corner of my blurred vision, I saw this blinking light moving at high speed towards the moon.

Curious, I put my glasses back on and have my eyes follow the moving light.

Must be some aircraft, I told myself.

And I watched it move right through the moon and out.

Till it left my field of vision.

And I wonder how it did that.

Then I wonder what will the person in the aircraft see that moment it passed the moon.

People in weird costumes which makes one think of circus acts dancing on the surface of the moon...

As they saw the craft pass by they stopped and turned to look at you in slow motion...

It gives you an involuntary shiver down the back of your spine.

I watched (500) Days of Summer last Saturday!

Now I'm addicted to it.

I look for videos related to it.

Interviews.

Miscellaneous videos.

Behind the scenes.

I looked and got all the songs I could related to the movie in any way.

I very nearly went to watch it for the second time (didn't because of budget and work..)

I think about the conversations.

I look up books which the characters read.

The last time I feel so overwhelmed for a movie for such a long period of time was Harry Potter.

I just think it's refreshing.

A film about relationships bringing you through the different emotions.

You feel uncertainty.

Guilt.

Happiness.

Frustration.

Anger.

Helplessness.

Realization.

The character of Summer Finn is..so complex if you can see what's under those big, blue eyes.

The way she reacted to events.

The reasons why she reacted that way.

Etc etc..

Also kudos for the casting and portrayal of Summer by Zooey Deschanel. I think it's awesome.

I like every single sets of Tom's wardrobe. Especially the ties..

I like how they compared the 2 characters' different perspective of Love (though it might be bit extreme to a certain extent).

What's with all the tsunami, earthquakes and floods? There's easily 4, 5 of them alone this week. Everytime I hear another one I gave an inner shudder..especially when I felt the aftershock for first time in my life weeks ago. It's so near. It's so real. But there's nothing we can do about it.

Oho! Blogging from my iTouch!

So tired from today's pre-wedding shoot..partly because I laid on the bed for two hours or so and couldn't fall asleep last night.

Today's shoot was cool, I cannot wait to see the final video..so excited and motivated at the same time! Spent nearly 6 hours with the couple..really enjoyed the experience..I believe a lot in spending quality time with the couple before we shoot anything for them..to minimise miscommunication and become friends, if you will. It's the personal touch so that we can do the best for them.

This morning in the lift, I happen to take it down with my neighbour's kid. I was at the lobby before he does and when he came I was surprised he gave me a smile.

In the lift:

Me: What primary are you?
Boy: Primary 5 very short
Me: *mental chuckle* Oh, I thought Primary 5s are afternoon sessions..
Boy: CCA.

And then he rattles off quickly,

Boy: Next year they're changing, Primary 1s and 2s are afternoon session (or was it morning??) and Primary 3s, 4s, 5s, 6s in the other session..

By then we're already at the level one lobby and he's already going off in the other direction as he said that, lol

But we still managed to say goodbye!

I'm now starting to discover songs by Muddy Waters and Bob Dylan! Love them a lot! Can so imagine cruising on a highway in the twilight along with the songs.

July has been a bad month. Well bad month on my saving front. Think I got nothing left to save. May August be a much better month..splurged too much on food this month!

Oh my god I think I will watch Half-Blood Prince once in Cathay Cineplexes. Don't know it's the row I was in or what, I think the JP GV theatres are not loud and stylo enough!

Oh did I mention? My phone spoilt..and it's not even a year yet. Pffft, now on B2's old phone. Need to check up my warranty sooon, so lazy to do so I'd rather live with a spoilt phone. lol

Friday! Big day! Gonna catch Liverpool FC from 2pm-3pm at JP! And then on Saturday they'll been taking the Singapore River Boat Tour at 1pm (or is it 1.30pm??). I think I'm gonna go that one as well. I'm so broke, now I don't know if I should go to the match at Singapore Stadium this Sunday 7pm! Pffffffft..

My phone spoilt on me altogther yesterday so I borrowed one from B2.

Then this morning I realised today's the gala premiere of HBP! And I have 6 SMSes stuck in my phone I can't read so there's a chance I could have won the tickets!

So I decided to drop by Shaw Lido after work and go check the namelist if I'm one of the winners.

Alas, I was so sure I was.

Shortly, my brother arrived (I got him to, just in case I won the pair of tickets) and I have already started wandering around the area, asking random group of people if they have extra tickets.

I got lucky on my first try. This guy with 4 tickets, but then his friends are all joining him.

After some time I can't help but notice he's still alone, so every now and then he'll notice I've been looking at him..lol, must have thought I'm some nutter.

Well all the people I've asked were very nice! They all said 'no, sorry' and smiled at me. Damn I wouldn't mind trading in all the 'no, sorry' + smiles I've collected for the tickets!

And then I was around this guy again, and overheard him telling one security one of his friends might not make it. I was so excited I wondered if I annoyed my brother, lol. Of course I stared at his way even more often.

And sure enough, he approached me shortly after saying he miiight be able to give up one ticket because one of his friends isn't coming, but he'll hold on to it just in case.

But there's my brother and myself with one ticket?

So I walked around more and asked more people. Still no tickets to give away. I even went up to the counter towards the end and ask if there're any uncollected tickets. He said no. I swore he lied.

Well as the time past it got really crowded and started to spot celebrities around. Zoe Tay took photos with this group of people who were all dressed up in robes and wands! There were even an Umbridge and Luna (complete with her weird glasses and a copy of Quibbler! Very impressive!) And then there's also Pat Mok, Andrian Pang & family, Edmund Chen & family, Pan Ling Ling & family as well, Joscelyn (sp?) Tay...

The screening was a very strict affair. Regardless if your phone has a camera function or not you're NOT allowed to bring in. They have to be checked in with a counter.

After 1.5hrs, the guy with the extra ticket is no where to be found. My brother and I finally gave up. Can't say we were not gutted!

Well it was all good experience.

I just can't wait another 23.5hrs to catch it.

Of Runways, Stopped Heart (twice), Tou Nee, Mee Soto, Vibrating Washing Machines & Roaches

Went to Orchard Central with Jas Claire Ed and Ter today. Place's layout is kinda weird, many shops hidden in corners. One thing I really like is they have loads of sofas for people to sit. One thing I don't really enjoy is the mental endless spiralling carpark. And the number of lots on a level is insanely few. No wonder they need 11 floors of carpark levels.

Headed to Paragon's Spaggedis (sp?) for dessert. Damn their brownies is quite a big serving. And Ed heard me saying tou nee instead of brownies! lol, enjoyed talking over dessert..while Ed is busy looking at vibrating washing machines at the store opposite.

Ed: Some people enjoy sitting on them..
Ter: *turned to me* Really??
Me: *incredulous face* Why did you turn to me?!

And then everyone burst out laughing followed by more surreptitious and random sniggerings.

Had a heart attack on the way home after we dropped Ed off, because there was a baby roach on the dashboard. I buckled so quickly and tried to move as far away as possible from the dasboard Ter thought some truck was crashing straight into us. Drama.

Damn ah am so lazy nowadays see my blog post feels bit mono too ain't it?

P.S: First heart attack incident story purposely left out of this post. ;)

Yay I finished Season 2 of Gossip Girl today! Was getting bored mid of this season..but the later episodes redeemed the season!

Watching Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen next Wednesday. Rotten Tomatoes says the movie is rotten..lol, the general consensus is that there's too many explosions and metals clashing around than the first..and it lacks human touch. I say this movie is made about the CG. Yes it'll be even better with a good plot to go with..but I'll be too busy being wow-ed by the animation.

Anyway because of Jas, I started watching Catherine Tates Show. Damn it's hilarious. I love her!

Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft. I feel so tired. Think I'm gonna skip dinner again for sleep. Niightttt.

I feel like someone has reached in, took my brain out, and brought it for a spin -- literally. Because that's the only reason I can think of now for my retarded brain. I think I have noticed the past year how forgetful I have been..and it's not a good thing. Urgh! And I've not been as productive as I've hoped to be.

Aaaaaanyway, can you believe this?! Half-Blood Prince will be out in the theatres in LESS THAN A MONTH! *does a little happy dance* Yeah you'll never be able to witness my happy dance. <=) Shit, I don't know what I'm still waiting for but I still haven't buy my Singapore vs Liverpool tickets. The Kop sector, which I want appears to have sold out. I've called a couple of Harry's Bar (they sell the tickets along with Adidas) and apparently I must not be the first 10 to do so because one of the guy who answered my phone went something like, 'We don't have the ticket you want and I don't know where is selling it. A lot of people has been calling to ask.' True story. Service line? Maybe he's a Manchester United fan? Too bad they're only heading to M'sia and not here. Pfft I think I need a holiday. To reset. You know? I haven't even finish 4th month of my full time job and I'm already thinking of a holiday. Don't really deserved it yet, maybe? Seems like a good night's sleep no longer works the charm of resetting my system like it used to. :/ I watched about 8, 9 hours of Gossip Girl S2 yesterday and todaaaay. Can't remember the last time I watched so many at one go! Also until last Tuesday I have sat in front of the TV for the longest time in months. Which is just only about an hour odd..! Since I have developed a distaste for local dramas (tell me when's the last time 3 dramas in a row whose content doesn't have anyone who nearly got raped or raped or nobody's having an affair). Really drama I tell you. As if our real Life doesn't already have enough I don't need to watch something like this to end a day off. Oh the show which I caught last Tuesday is the one which Mark Lee is the host and they have about 9 or so foregin people learning about local culture and sharing their own. Now that's something really good.

Can't wait for Transformers 2 which comes out earliest next Tuesday!

Oh I am trying to exercise at leeeeast once every week now. Need to keep in shape since all I can think about lately is having expensive (and sometimes unhealthy) food. So maybe having no plans at all this weekend is a blessing in disguise since I have overspent on food the past week. Naaay, can't say no to good food!

Oh! Recently, I suddenly hope that it's the Christmas season. Though I don't celebrate it as a tradition, there just seems to be this warm, fuzzy feeling in the air that I just can't resist it! And loads of fairy lights will be hung on the trees along the streets everywhere..I love fairy lights anytime anywhere. :D

I've been busy..

Okay the urge to get an iTouch or iPhone is the strongest yet..and Shann suggesting it here and there isn't helping! The only stumbling block is the touch-screen sms-ing..it might kill me.

I've been eating loads of biscuit sticks (but not as much as Shann) by the brand of Tasty.
